SAN FRANCISCO, December 18, 2025 - Human Interest, Retirement Industry DisruptorTM and the fastest growing 401(k) provider,1 today announced the third generation of its embedded retirement technology platform, Human Interest Fabric™ (“Fabric”), that allows payroll providers, financial institutions, accountants, and other financial services providers to embed retirement plans into their products.
Since launching the first version of Fabric in 2019, Human Interest has seen rapid adoption, with over 18,0002 customers of partners now signed up for a 401(k) through the embedded platform - establishing Human Interest as the industry’s largest provider of white-label retirement plans.3
While Human Interest is unable to disclose the partners who are participating in Fabric, they include some of the largest financial institutions and payroll providers in the world.4 Rakesh Mahajan, Chief Revenue Officer, Human Interest, said, “As we’ve become the fastest growing retirement provider in America, we’ve also quietly become the largest white-label retirement platform. We never want to steal our partners’ thunder, but we do want to share the news of this new release and its adoption as the industry’s leading white-label solution.”
The Fabric platform seamlessly integrates Human Interest’s top-rated retirement technology5 for partners, allowing companies to embed retirement plan offerings directly into their payroll and financial applications, without needing multiple log-ins. The latest generation of Fabric adds several innovative new features purpose-built to meet partners’ unique needs:
Embedded functionality, not just branding: The newest release of Fabric enables full integration with a partner's native applications and workflows. Fabric is designed to function seamlessly within a partner's core technology, unlike other white-label providers who simply add a logo or color palette to their generic interface.
Empowering users with active management: With Fabric, plan participants can do much more than simply view retirement account balances. Savers can instantly update their enrollment, change investment selections, or adjust savings rates directly from the payroll, finance, and benefits apps they use every day.
Visibility across the payroll lifecycle: For employers, Fabric supercharges their preferred payroll platform into an operational command center for retirement plan administration. Employers can track ACH debits, monitor contribution flows, and confirm funding status without ever leaving their native payroll experience, ensuring better accuracy and control.
The "No-Cost Partnership Guarantee"
Other providers may charge millions in licensing fees for their white-label platforms. Human Interest is the only retirement provider to guarantee that partners will never pay an additional fee to use the Fabric platform.
Mahajan added, "Our priority is growing a joint customer base, not nickel-and-diming our partners for access to our technology. We are removing the barriers to entry so that every payroll provider, bank, and advisor can offer a native, high-quality retirement solution."
A partner-centric focus on innovation
Human Interest has spent more than $200 Million on product development in the last five years, more than all other digital retirement providers combined, and plans to continue investing heavily in products which provide a superior experience across the retirement ecosystem.
In addition to the success of Fabric, the company has also seen rapid adoption of PartnerConnect™, an intuitive platform developed in close consultation with financial advisors to streamline 401(k) plan management. Since the launch of PartnerConnect in April 2025, over 500 financial advisor firms have onboarded nearly 5,000 clients onto the platform.6
The company’s partner-centric approach has contributed to its success: over 90% of the 45,000 companies using Human Interest originated from one of its 3,000 referring partners.7 In addition, Human Interest can integrate with nearly 600 payroll companies— significantly more than any other provider in the space.
“Not only are we integrating with more payroll providers in the industry, but 99.6% of Human Interest’s integrations are direct integrations, which naturally delivers a better customer experience as opposed to using often-fragile 3rd-party middleware-based integrations,” added Mahajan.
