We’re thrilled to announce our brand new integration with QuickBooks Online! If you’ve been considering a retirement solution for your small business or startup, now is the perfect time to check out Human Interest. With our new connection, it’s easier than ever to automate the administration of your plan. If your company uses QuickBooks Online (QBO) to manage its finances and payroll, you’re now able to administer a 401(k) more seamlessly than ever thanks to our new App Store listing. Below, you’ll find answers to some frequently asked questions, details about the integration, and how you can get up and running in no time.
Why should I choose Human Interest as our 401(k) provider?
Administering a 401(k) is a complicated and nuanced operation, but it all hinges on payroll deductions. This is why a 401(k) plan must be employer sponsored: the money that is invested in your retirement savings account comes directly from your paycheck, and that money grows, tax-free, until retirement. To administer this plan, an administrator needs to manually deduct every employee’s contribution, and then place it into his or her account every single payroll cycle. This is even before items such as monitoring for IRS compliance and reconciling employee status: it’s a headache to say the least, and not typically how you should be spending your time. With Human Interest, it’s never been easier for QuickBooks Online clients to administer a 401(k). Thanks to this new integration, we ensure that any updates to an employee’s contribution rate are automatically applied to your QuickBooks Online account in the next qualifying payroll processing period. Then, we’ll automatically deduct the contributions and invest them in the employee’s 401(k) account, all without ever having to involve you, the plan administrator. Additionally, we reconcile employee data in order to keep track of current employees, add new employees, and remove terminated employees from the plan so you can rest assured that your account is always up-to-date. With low-fees and transparent pricing, automated administration and compliance monitoring, dedicated account management and an array of investment options, Human Interest is an ideal match for small businesses and startups looking to provide a strong benefit while saving time and money in the process.

I’m a QBO user, but I already have a 401(k) and want to switch providers. Can you help?
